Storm Speaker

DIY Guide



  1. A speaker
    you can use a subwoofer or an old speaker.

  2. A box with one side open
    You can build one depending on the size of your speaker.

  3. Trash bag
    Usually called plexiglass, you’ll have to cut this down to the correct
    size You can also use any sheet that protects the salt goes inside
    the speaker.


  4. Suction cups

  5. Table salt

  6. Before assembly, you may wish to paint your metal plate black you
    can also use sand.


How to make:

  1. Wrap the trash bag around the speaker and secure it with a hair tie
    or any band


  2. On the box without one side. Cut a circle that is the same circumference than you speaker.

  3. Insert the speaker on the box making the circle match with the speaker. 

  4. Glue the suction cups on the open side of the box.

  5. Put it on a window.

  6. Pour salt on the speaker and wait for a storm to see it move!
